Founded in 1990 by Lawrence Casperson, Kings Road Café is a Beverly Grove neighborhood institution that hand-roasts its own small-batch coffee blend on-site — a recipe developed over nearly a decade before the shop opened. The house roast delivers "a smooth, rich, full body with very distinctive flavors, without the typical bitterness of darker roasts," served alongside fresh, made-to-order breakfast and lunch in a welcoming space staffed by long-term employees who build authentic, personal connections with regulars.
