Torrefazione '68
Civitavecchia, Italy
A third-generation Roman coffee roaster founded in 1968 by Mario Mauceri, now carried on by the Mauceri family out of a production facility in Civitavecchia. Mostly a quality-focused private-label roaster — blend creation, green-bean sourcing, cupping, and custom packaging for third-party brands, with roasted/ground formats, E.S.E. pods, and Nespresso-compatible capsules. In 2024 the family opened Bap, a specialty coffee, pastry, and fine-dining café in Rome's Pinciano-Salario district (baproma.com, Instagram @bap__roma), as a showcase for the roastery's coffee program — third-generation owner Giulia Mauceri runs it alongside sommelier Marianna Gallo and chef Matteo Anselmi.
