UKIYO Coffee is a Japanese-inspired specialty coffee bar and micro-roastery by Mainz Hauptbahnhof, on Bahnhofstraße. It roasts its own beans — the Kaffeerösterei also supplies gastronomy, offices and private customers — and pulls espresso on a Slayer, but is known just as much for its ceremonial-grade matcha and a Japanese-inspired brunch of bagels, avocado toast and house pastries. The name comes from ukiyo-e, "the floating world": living in the moment, detached from the bothers of life.
