Our second and final Burundian coffee of the season comes from Gahahe, a fantastic washing station in the red clay hills of Kayanza Province serving over 1,700 nearby farmers. This fully washed lot is an excellent rendering of flavors we've come to love in East Africa. Look for a warm and complex cup with immaculate clarity and layered sweetness - we taste cranberry, golden raisin, dried fig, honey, brown sugar, orange peel, and lovely, subtle florals. This is our first Kenyan offering in several years and we’re excited to be working with Rockbern Coffee, a relatively new exporter founded by third-generation coffee producer Peter Muchiri. This lot carries all the signatures of an excellent Kenyan coffee.
