Roasteries / Quijote Kaffee
Quijote Kaffee (Quijote Kaffee GmbH) is a direct-import specialty roastery in Hamburg-Rothenburgsort, founded in 2013 by Andreas "Pingo" Felsen and Stefanie Hesse. It buys direct-trade from democratically organised smallholder cooperatives, pays well above fair-trade minimum prices, and caps output at what its collective can roast and ship in a week (~3,600kg) — the week's batch drops in the webshop every Monday at 7am and often sells out within days. Beans can also be picked up in person at the roastery.
