Black Coffee Roastery is a Black-owned specialty coffee roaster founded by Dante Williams in 2020 after he left a career as a youth counselor. It sells nationwide online and runs a pop-up espresso cart at Frequency Coworking & Events in Rancho Cordova (Tue–Thu) and at the Midtown Farmers Market (Saturdays), with no fixed storefront. Its coffee has been served at Hyatt Regency Sacramento’s Vines Café and at Governor-hosted events.

A dark-roasted SHB EP washed coffee from smallholders in Unión Cantinil, Huehuetenango. Cherries are pulped by hand or small motorised pulpers, fermented overnight, washed in channels and sun-dried on rooftops, patios and tarps.
An SHB EP washed lot pooled from as many as 76 small producers in Unión Cantinil, with farms averaging 1.5 hectares, grown at around 1,700 m.

A blend of Central American, South American and African beans with bright, lively notes and a smooth, balanced finish. 10% of proceeds support Ball Out Academy, a Sacramento nonprofit for young people in the Seavey Circle neighbourhood.
