A Munich specialty coffee roastery founded in 2014 by Marco and Cornelia Mehrwald — "100% independent from day one. No investors. Just us." Sources and roasts specialty-grade Arabica coffees, prioritizing quality over growth. The crocodile logo and packaging were designed by graphic designer Jon Contino, symbolizing the duality between man and machine in the roasting process. Runs four cafés across Munich (Glockenbach, Maxvorstadt, Schwabing, and Hôtel de Ville on Marienplatz) alongside its Kolosseum roasting facility, and also offers barista classes, cold brew and matcha.
