Temple Coffee Roasters was founded in 2005 by Sean Kohmescher — the name inspired by temples he visited in Indonesia — with its own roastery established in 2008. Coffee is roasted on a Renegade Roaster (60k capacity) and a Probat UG (15k capacity), producing roughly 5,000 lbs/week across custom profiles for every lot under a "Farm to Cup" sourcing model that pays above Fair Trade prices. Temple now runs nine cafés across Sacramento, Arden Arcade, Fair Oaks, Davis and Folsom, plus a regional wholesale program. Source: templecoffee.com, Cropster case study.
