About this coffee

Rare peaberry coffee from our own farm. Only 1% of the harvest. Peaberry is the rarest coffee a farm produces. Normally a coffee cherry grows two flat beans pressed against each other. About one in a hundred grows a single round bean instead, called a peaberry, that takes all the cherry's sugars and nutrients for itself. We hand-sort them from every harvest at Hacienda Iluminada, our farm in the mountains of Maricao, Puerto Rico, and roast them separately. This 6 oz bag is the result.
