Grind
London, United Kingdom
Grind began in 2011 when founder David Abrahamovitch and Kaz James turned a former mobile-phone shop on Old Street, Shoreditch into a café by day, cocktail bar by night — a concept that became an East London institution. Howard Gill, a certified Q grader with nearly 20 years in the industry, joined in 2016 to set up Grind's in-house roastery, with a philosophy built around making quality, sustainable coffee accessible to everyone. Grind has since grown into fourteen venues across London, Manchester and Dubai — restaurants, standalone coffee shops and market trucks — alongside a global subscription business for beans, home-compostable Nespresso-compatible pods (a UK first in 2022) and matcha. The company is B Corp certified (2024) and runs the Better Coffee Foundation® to address the industry's environmental impact. Source: grind.co.uk

Cacao nib · Honeycomb · Golden raisin

A medium roast with a toasty sweetness and notes of dried fruit — same great flavour, minus the caffeine. Intensity 8/10.

A bright and complex single origin, sustainably grown in the rich red volcanic soils of Murang’a County. Intensity 6/10.
Blood orange · Blackcurrant · Lemon sherbet · Fresh cream

Designed to pair perfectly with milk (but it's great on its own, too) — Grind's exploration of different kinds of natural sweetness. Intensity 8/10.
Dark chocolate · Pecan · Orange cream

Carefully cultivated at high altitude, this unique Ugandan coffee has a bright, earthy, complex acidity beautifully balanced by a deep honey sweetness. Intensity 6/10.
