We think making an espresso that is both good as a shot of espresso as it is in milk is one of the hardest things to do as a roaster. Thats why we named our espresso after one of the hardest things to do in sport, and something rarely seen on television; bowling the 7-10 split. This delightful blend is made up of two lots: a rich natural process Brazil, paired with a clean washed process Guatemala. Smooth and sweet with a creamy mouthfeel, delicate flavours of tangerine and cherry pop off your tongue, rounded out to a mesmerizing raw cacao and sage finish. Ever wanted to try an espresso the wakes you up, kick starts your day, and that you can enjoy perfectly without any added sugar? Bright Eyed Espresso is our newest foundational pillar, and it accomplishes just that. For a long time we have wanted to create a new coffee that could be a parallel our daily driver, and this complements its predecessor perfectly. Bright Eyed is a welcome addition to LVC's offer list, and will be enjoyed by anyone who loves their espressos sweet and bright. Source: lvcoffee.ca (roaster’s own copy).

The Amigos del Huila decaf is a curated blend from many of the same smallholder producers whose coffee goes into the Amigos del Huila community blend. Tadeo and his son Benjamin have an an incredibly biodiverse farm, with a plethora of fruit trees (avocados, peach and banana to name a few) interspersed amongst the coffee shrubs, and shade trees. The soils are high in organic matter and ground cover is kept constant, while fertilization is minimal and applied according to soil analyses. Tadeo uses both conventional fertilizers, as well as an organic mix of coffee pulp composted with chicken mature and lime. This lot is a washed pacamara comes from a 15-cuerda planting. Kamwangi is one of three washing stations managed by the New Ngariama Farmers’ Cooperative Society, alongside Kainamui and Mathigira. This washing station, renowned for its fabled quality was established in 1975, and is strategically located in the rich volcanic highlands of Kirinyaga County. With its proximity to Mt. Kenya providing nutrient-dense soils and stable weather patterns, this has helped more than 1800 smallholder producers consistently produce excellent lots year over year, with distinctive cup quality and characteristics unique to the region. Our Signature Dark "but not too dark" roast profile. Dark roasts may have fallen out of fashion recently in the specialty coffee world but, just like stout beer, we believe they are wonderful if done correctly. Sweet and smokey but not ashy in any way. This is our love letter to the dark roast. Source: lvcoffee.ca (roaster’s own copy).

Sunshine is our house light roast pillar coffee, meaning it is incredibly consistent and versatile. It is roasted to be both bright and sweet, with a clean mouth feel, syrupy finish and is a very easy drinking. If you're new to drinking LVC, and have dabbled with medium to light roast coffees from other roasters before, this is a great place to start. Source: lvcoffee.ca (roaster’s own copy).
