Founded by Haitham Al-Shoriy, a Yemeni roaster who — unable to find Yemeni coffee, or its story, in Europe — set out to change that, roasting the first Tribes of Mokha batch in Prague in May 2019. The company's mission is "to help restore Yemeni coffee to the world coffee map, where it rightfully belongs," partnering directly with Yemeni farmers and cooperatives (including lots from Best of Yemen auctions run by the Alliance for Coffee Excellence) to preserve traditional processing and pay fairly for quality. 100% of revenue from Yemeni coffee and art sales goes to humanitarian aid for children in Yemen.
