AA Kainamui - Kenya
AA Kainamui - Kenya
$34.00 / 12oz Bag

Established in 1963 on the slopes of Mount Kenya, the Kainamui factory is located in the Ngariama region of central Kenya, about 140km north of Nairobi. Mount Kenya, an extinct volcano, is the second-highest snow-capped peak in Africa, and its proximity to the farms in Kirinyaga plays a major role in the coffee's development. Glacier-fed rivers help maintain cool temperatures year round, typically ranging between 13 and 25 C.  With just 2,000 members in the factory, most Kainamui farms are quite small, with an average of just 200 trees each.  Coffees are shaded and surrounded by native flora s Source: kinshipcoffeeroasters.com (roaster’s own copy).

Gotiti - Ethiopia
Gotiti - Ethiopia
$36.00 / 12oz Bag

Gotiti is grown in one of the most famous coffee-producing regions in the world -- Yirgacheffe. The high elevation of the region leads to coffee beans that are small and dense; this makes for a smaller margin of error during roasting, but produces deep and complex flavor. Just like the rest of Ethiopia, Yirgacheffe is divided into many districts, or woredas, and woredas are divided into communities, or  kebele . Within the Gedeb woreda lies the Gotiti kebele; coffee farmers in this area bring their coffee cherries to the Gotiti washing station either by mule or on foot. Kanzu (Natural) - Rwanda
Kanzu (Natural) - Rwanda
$30.00 / 12oz Bag

Powered by mineral-rich volcanic soil, the coffee grown around the Kanzu wet mill is treated with care through rigorous quality control. Farmers use techniques such as cherry flotation, sustainable water management, and dry fermentation to produce only the most exceptional coffee. This is coupled with the ideal growing conditions of the region, creating a wonderfully balanced cup bursting with fruitiness. We get a consistent sweetness throughout the cup, with powerful notes of strawberry and yellow rainier cherries. Source: kinshipcoffeeroasters.com (roaster’s own copy).

San Agustín Loxicha - Mexico

The San Agustín Loxicha community is nestled in the dense forests of the Sierra Sur region in Oaxaca, lying on the southern Pacific coast of Mexico. Here coffee farms are thoroughly shaded and experience stark rainy and dry seasons on mountainous terrain. Farmers rely on a diverse range of native flora to shade and fertilize coffee trees, among other benefits, including avocado trees, cuajinicuil, and guachepil legume trees.  Producers in this area, unlike most producing communities, typically live 2-3 hours from their farms, traveling by foot or mule. Producing families will often stay in tem Source: kinshipcoffeeroasters.com (roaster’s own copy).

Tablon de Gomez (Decaf) - Colombia

Tablon de Gomez is a coffee of tradition, coming from small, family-owned farms in Nariño, Colombia. Farms are often handed down through the generations, keeping traditional practices and spirit alive. Once harvested, cherries are processed, washed, and dried on-site before being transported to the nearest dry mill. This decaf produces a balanced and flavorful cup with bold, sweet notes of honey and berries. We love it most as a pourover, but we encourage you to try it using your favorite brew method.
