About this coffee

A single lot from Bette Buna's 220-hectare farm in Megadu woreda, Guji: a mix of planted and wild forest with coffee intercropped throughout. Bette Buna was founded in 2020 by Dawit and Hester Syoum-Westerveld after Dawit's grandfather, who farmed coffee in Sidama for nearly a century, passed away; it pays a living wage and provides housing, meals and schooling for harvest workers' children. Hand-picked cherries dried 3–5 weeks on raised beds, half in sun and half in shade. A smooth, fruity light-roast natural that works as espresso as well as filter.
