About this coffee
Karindundu Factory is located in Kenya’s renowned Nyeri region, about 1 kilometer from the town of Karatina in the lowlands of Mt. Kenya. The factory is supported by 513 active smallholder members, including 349 men and 164 women, who each cultivate an average of 300 coffee trees on roughly half an acre of land. Like many coffee producers in Kenya, the farmers contributing to Karindundu grow coffee alongside other crops such as macadamia, banana, maize, and beans.
