Utopian Coffee
Fort Wayne, IN, USA
Utopian Coffee is a Fort Wayne, Indiana roaster founded in 2006 by Brendon Maxwell and his cousin — one a craft-coffee obsessive, the other a backpacker who fell for coffee-growing countries and their people. It started as a wholesale operation in a house on Pearl Street, ran a café on The Landing for several years and then closed it to focus on roasting for and supporting other cafés. Roasting is led by Nick Brehany. Utopian builds long-term relationships with producers and carries a range of Regenerative Organic Certified® coffees from Peru alongside single origins from Timor-Leste, Thailand, India, Kenya and Ethiopia. Sold online and through partner cafés; no walk-in shop.
