Stray Coffee Roasters
Munich, Germany
Founded in 2021 by Matthias "Feldi" Feldmeier and Ilan Bachl, Stray Coffee Roasters opened its Munich café in 2023 at Gollierstraße 30 in Westend/Schwanthalerhöhe, after building a reputation as a standout micro-roaster. The name reflects their philosophy — "to travel along a route that was not originally intended" — and drives a focus on producer recognition and supply-chain transparency: every coffee is sold under the name of the producer or cooperative who grew it, with costs throughout the chain communicated openly. Light-roasted, rare single origins, roasted in-house and served alongside pour-over, batch brew and espresso at the Gollierstraße bar. Source: stray.coffee

Grown by Fabian Lomas on his four-hectare, ~3,000-tree farm in the Chocó Andino Biosphere Reserve. Cherries are depulped and fermented in mucilage for 72 hours before being fully washed and slowly dried on raised African beds for around 15 days. 2025 harvest. Source: stray.coffee

From Finca Ecológica Agua Colorada, a seven-hectare farm Gilmer Mejia's family has worked since the early 1990s. Ripe cherries are hand-picked, native shade trees are kept for ideal ripening, and the soil is enriched naturally with compost and guano rather than herbicides. 2025 harvest. Source: stray.coffee

From a 100-hectare estate established in the 1920s and family-run since 1992, bordering the Ngorongoro forest and the Ngila River. The farm prioritises quality and long-term land stewardship, and offers workers stable employment, healthcare, education and ongoing training — many staying on for decades. Source: stray.coffee
