About this coffee

Farmers 18: Wicho Valdés and Santa Isabel return to the Farmers series with a clean, crisp washed Caturra of green grape, redcurrant, apple and toffee. Wicho grew up helping his father on the family farm, studied agronomy and came back in 1998 to lead it; nearly a third of the land is protected cedar, pine and mahogany forest. Shade-grown at 1,400 m in Cobán's cool, rainy highlands, pulped, fermented, washed and dried first in the sun, then on raised beds in ventilated greenhouses. The shop also lists two other Wicho Valdés editions this year: a Prime 08 washed Geisha (green apple, orange blossom, blackcurrant leaf) and a limited-edition espresso of Venecia from his San Lorenzo farm (milk chocolate, macadamia, blackberry).
