About this coffee
A washed lot from nine Zapotec smallholders in Santa Cruz Ozolotepec, the newest village in Osito's six-year sourcing work, through Red Beetle Coffee Lab, across the remote Ozolotepeques of Oaxaca's Sierra Sur. Plots sit above the village, so the harvest is carried down by hand; the warmer climate speeds fermentation and drying, so poly-shade netting is used to slow it. Each farmer contributed about 75 kg of parchment of Marsellesa, Oro Azteca and Typica grown at 1,400–1,700 m.
