About this coffee

The 15th sweet standard, sweet spot kaffee’s house coffee, roasted weekly for the shops by Johannes Bayer. It comes from Diego Robelo of Aquiares Estate, who has visited Munich twice for sweet spot tasting events, and is only the second sweet standard to return for a second year. As leaf rust hits Caturra at 1,200–1,400 m, Diego has moved to hybrids: Esperanza (Caturra × Ethiopia 531) is hand-picked and processed “African washed” in the estate’s own wet mill — two days of slow fermentation under water, Kenyan-style. Full body, creamy sweetness, bright red fruit (raspberry) and a touch of cinnamon; great as espresso, relaxed as filter. Source: sweetspotkaffee.de.
