Gocce di Cioccolato

Turin, Italy

A pastry shop, café and artisanal micro-roastery in Turin's Borgo Vittoria, founded in August 2002 by Maurizio Galiano and Ivano Baiunco out of a long friendship and a shared desire to work only with excellent raw materials. Maurizio began roasting specialty coffee in 2009 and in 2017 became a partner in Finca Rio Colorado, a 45-hectare, 100%-sustainable farm in Las Capucas, Copán, western Honduras. The roasting side now trades under the sister brand Dropstery — nine-plus single-origin coffees, mostly from Colombia and Honduras, roasted for espresso, moka and filter — while the Via Stradella storefront remains the pastry shop, café and retail point where the beans, cakes and breakfast pastries are sold.
