Chci kofein is a one-couple specialty micro-roastery in Brno, run by Miroslav "Miro" Meňhert and his partner Maru. They roast on a single 1 kg Aillio Bullet R1 V2 — deliberately small, so they can roast the same coffee several ways and keep a short, fast-rotating line-up of limited editions. Green coffee is bought through importers who work directly with small farms, and every batch is cupped before it ships. There's no café of their own: the coffee is sold through the e-shop and poured at partner cafés around Brno.

A classic washed Kenya from the Karimikui washing station in Kirinyaga, run by the Rung'eto Farmers Cooperative Society (founded 1953) and fed by smallholders farming plots typically under a hectare. Cherries are hand-picked, fermented 12–24 hours, washed, soaked for a further 24 hours and dried on raised beds for 7–21 days. Complex and structured in the cup: black tea and blackberry over a red-grapefruit acidity. Roasted for filter.

A chocolate-forward natural blend of traditional Colombian varieties from four shade-grown mountain farms in Tolima and Valle del Cauca — La Cumbre (Julio Horta), San Pedro (Manuel Dagua), Los Pedregales (Fernando Paya) and El Topacio (Uber Quintero). Only cherry that is at least 90% ripe is picked, then fermented whole in bags for 48–72 hours and sun-dried as whole cherry. Fruity and juicy with a long finish — “raspberries in dark chocolate.” An omni roast that works on both espresso and filter.

A juicy washed Rwanda from the Rugamba washing station, built in 2009 on the shore of Lake Kivu in Rutsiro and sourcing Red Bourbon cherry from high-altitude, volcanic-soil smallholdings around it. Imported by Falcon Coffees. Soft and sweet on the palate — milk chocolate and ripe peach with a honeyed finish. Roasted for filter.
