About this coffee

A washed lot from Finca San Sebastián in Antigua, a 2,250-hectare family estate founded in 1890 and still run by the same family, which also produces macadamias, dairy and honey. About 1,100 ha is left as a wildlife reserve, and the farm runs a primary and secondary school for workers' children. Grown at 1,500–1,700 m in the valley ringed by three volcanoes, where strong sun and cool, humid nights slow ripening and make for dense beans. Soft and full-bodied, with dark chocolate, nougat and cherry. Medium roast for filter and espresso.
