About this coffee

A rare Excelsa from the Mooleh Manay estate in Coorg, Karnataka, where Komal Sable and Akshay Dashrath pair traditional farming with research into lesser-used coffee species and new processing. In India Excelsa has mostly been grown as tall boundary trees, so pickers climb ladders to harvest it. This lot was fermented by carbonic maceration for 60 hours and dried whole as a natural. Kahiwa says it is the coffee that won the 2026 Finnish Brewers Cup. Apricot and cacao nibs with soft mandarin acidity and a long, stevia-sweet chocolate finish. Light roast.
