About this coffee

Assembled by the regional export team COCARIVE from two family farms — Sítio da Torre and Três Barras — around Carmo de Minas in the Mantiqueira de Minas mountains, where steep slopes force hand harvesting and a rare terroir emerges. Growers Álvaro Antônio Pereira Coli and José Wagner Ribeiro Junqueira are a fourth generation of coffee families with dozens of Cup of Excellence placings. The lot is built on Red Acaia (hence "Vermelha" — red), a 1977 natural mutation of Mundo Novo prized for large beans and clarity; processed pulped natural and rested 30–60 days in wooden silos for a creamy body.
