Café Mokxa
Lyon, France
A pioneer of specialty coffee roasting in France, founded in 2011 in Lyon by Sadry and Rose after years abroad immersed in the world of fine coffees. Mokxa works exclusively with specialty-grade coffees scoring above 84/100, roasting daily with precision and adaptation tailored to each lot's variety, origin, and post-harvest treatment. The team prioritizes traceability from farm to cup, seasonality reflecting harvest cycles, and direct, sustainable partnerships with producers at prices far exceeding market rates — all beans are 100% Arabica, EcoCert organic certified. Roasting and barista training happen at facilities in Oullins-Pierre-Bénite (Lyon) and Strasbourg. Source: cafemokxa.com

From a producer who combines a veterinary-science background with coffee growing, developing custom yeast strains and extended fermentation techniques on his family farm.

From a 380-hectare farm rehabilitated in 2018 after abandonment, now combining specialty coffee cultivation with a protected natural reserve housing over 21 exotic coffee varieties.
Apricot · Mango · Violet syrup

An organic blend combining exceptional terroirs across Latin America and Africa, built to be versatile across espresso and filter. Sourced from producers practicing sustainable, certified-organic agriculture; composition varies by harvest availability.

A bold blend that challenges preconceptions about robusta — a 5% robusta addition (Coffea Canephora) gives structural body and aromatic intensity to a full-bodied, silky cup.
Dark chocolate · Wood · Spice · Full-bodied

A silky, sweet organic cup from a cooperative of 691 independent smallholders farming shade-grown, volcanic-soil plots in Huehuetenango; cherries are hand-harvested and processed the same day.
Cocoa bean · Almond · Citrus

A 100% Brazilian espresso blend from singular Minas Gerais terroirs, named for the nostalgia and longing (saudade) built up over Mokxa's annual visits to the Serra de Mantiqueira producers. Composition shifts seasonally as micro-lots are replaced with comparable aromatic profiles.

A gourmand, full-bodied direct-trade lot from a family-owned Certifica Minas and Fair Trade certified farm near Carmo de Minas.
