About this coffee

A 50 g limited lot. Finca Lerida in Alto Quiel, Boquete was established in 1924 by engineer Toleff Bache Mönniche; since 2008 it has been owned and run by Maria Antonella Amoruso, who has taken it to consistent Best of Panama placings in both Geisha and varietal categories and pairs competitive pay with housing, food support and a school programme for workers’ children. The 100 ha flagship plantation carries 70 ha of Geisha alongside Orange Bourbon, SL28/SL34, Typica and Catuai, with 30 ha kept as protected forest. This natural-processed Geisha cups intensely floral — honeysuckle, jasmine and rose at the centre — over white peach, pear, white grape, tangerine and a honeyed sweetness that grows as it cools, with a medium acidity, medium sweetness and a velvety mouthfeel.
