We Taste: Starfruit, Rainer Cherry, White Flower. Medium Acidity, Silky Body. This coffee was grown in Menghai county, Yunnan, where the dominant cultivar is DR296—or Purple Caturra. Aptly named for its purple-tinted leaves, Purple Caturra is a mutation of the classic Caturra variety developed by the Dehong Tropical Research Institute in Yunnan.
