About this coffee

A washed Red Catuai from Hernando Machaca, an independent smallholder in the Yungas of La Paz, where the Andes drop into densely forested valleys. Rather than delivering cherries to a central station, he hand-picks, sorts, pulps, ferments and dries them himself for about two weeks on the farm, which gives him far more control over quality. Roasted for espresso: red grapefruit, blackcurrant and almond, with a strong body and present acidity.
